What is the call of Islam? The call of Islam is to call people to Allah. Calling people to Allah is one of the noblest acts, one that results in great reward.
And who is better in speech than he who invites people to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says: I am one of the Muslims. [Quran 41:33]. All praise is for Allaah, Lord of the Worlds, who ordered us to follow His Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and to call to His Way, and may Allaah send praises and blessings of peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, his companions, and those who truly follow them until the Day of Judgement. An important matter for Muslims to realize is that calling people to Allah is an obligation upon them. Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. [Qur'an 16:125] From the verse above, we know that Wisdom is important in calling people to Allah. So if the caller is not armed with sufficient knowledge for him to face every doubt and contend with every opponent, then he will be defeated in the first counter, and will be halted at the beginning of the way.
